End of Year Message from The Chair

Hi to all.

Thank you to CKLG Accountants.

After 5 years of partnering with us, CKLG recently informed us that they will be channeling their marketing funds directly towards supporting the community with the cost of living crisis, and so wouldn’t be sponsoring our shirts. They have been great supporters of the club, funding new members’ shirts and a range of purchases for the juniors and we’re grateful for their support.

It was fantastic that, when we said we’d created an Access Fund to help our members with the cost of living, they donated £500 to support this – a lovely way to bring a close on a great relationship. Thanks to Stef Heslop for her part in making that happen – invaluable help to the club.

Should anyone have any ideas or suggestions for future sponsors for the club, please get in touch. We have agreed with MrCricketHockey that the shirts can be retrospectively printed with our new sponsors names once established.

Update on Kit

Our new offering through MrCricketHockey has gone live and our first batch of the new club kit has come out. If anyone has had any difficulty with their kit, or new members still need to process an order of kit, please get in touch with Charlie Sorensen (Sorensen.cf@gmail.com) and message via the website; the one problem we have had shared has been resolved really promptly.

Junior Strategy

On the 23rd of January at 7pm at the Exning Road Club, Vicky Benedikz has asked for wider interaction with the club to help shape the future direction of NHC Juniors. We’ll be looking to answer things like: What is the best way to maximise participation? What should we invest time and effort in trying to achieve? How do we continue to grow the section? What more/less should we be offering our juniors?

The session will be facilitated in January. Although there is a limit to how many people we can have participating in the session, if you would like to get involved, please reach out to Vicky directly. We look forward to sharing the outputs later next year

And finally….

Thanks to Jess, Grace and Lydia for their efforts in organizing and running a really successful quiz night recently and of course thank you to all those who managed to get along.  Dates of further socials will be out early in the New Year so please get those in the diary!  Our end of Season party is booked for the 15th of April with more details to follow.

Finally, it leaves me to wish you all a very Happy Christmas!  A huge thank you also to all those who give up their time for the club it is greatly appreciated by all!

I look forward to seeing you in the New Year

All the best

Peter
