Newmarket Hockey Club celebrated their end of season awards at the prestigious Bedford Lodge Hotel in Newmarket, the home of fine dining and on this occasion some of the finest dancing in town. It was a time to celebrate the successes of the year (and there were many) not least of which was a full season of hockey uninterrupted by Covid-19.
The Ladies 2nd XI secured promotion by finishing top of Division 4NW with 46 points, that was 6 points clear of their nearest rivals. Meanwhile, Ladies 1st XI await news of their fate having finished second in Division 2NW, hoping that two teams will be promoted into the higher division.
Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Club Chair, Peter Sargeant while the awards were presented by Club President Hazel Rolfe. Photography, as always, is courtesy of Michael Bennett.
