The M1s travelled to Dereham missing at least 8 regulars. The result 9v3 does not tell the whole story. Newmarket, whilst under the cosh actually outscored Dereham in open play 3v2 a real credit to those who stepped up to fill the gaps, but Dereham were quite good at short corners. Goals came from skipper Simon Donald, Dylan Hardy and Kane Astin.

On to happier topics both the M2s and M3s had big home wins over Bury 5s and 7s respectively. Peter Terrett got another hattrick (and a solid round at the bar) with Andy Baker and Matt Lewis also scoring in a tough 5v2 win for our M2s. Meanwhile, in the earlier game, Jack Baker got 3, Peter Booth got 2 and Olly Pitt gave the 3s a more comfortable 6v1 win.

The L2s led the way for the Ladies winning 3v1 against Cambridge City 6s, goals from Jess Malings, Jess Griffiths and Robyn Kennedy.

Both the L1s and L3s suffered narrow defeats. The L1s 2v1 at Cambridge City 4s, Jess Richardson with the consolation and the L3s playing with a squad of only 9, lost 2v0 at Cambridge South.
