3 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats. The Ladies 1’s carried on their form from last season, so let’s start with the Men’s 2’s.
The M2’s travelled to IES 3’s producing a more or less perfect game, 5 goals from Terrett x3, Aitkin and Holden and no shots on or off target by IES means the M2’s may be top of the league, but who knows.
The L1’s took to life in 2NW by making it 23 consecutive wins, vs Cams Uni 3’s. Goals from McDonnell x2 and Andreou backed up with a clean sheet saw them run out 3v0 winners.
The club’s other winners on the day were the Ladies 3’s, also members of the clean sheet brigade, who eventually ran out 4v0 winners over St Ives 4’s thanks to second half goals from Davenport, Bailey and McCulloch x2.
The Ladies 2’s picked up a good point away to Haverhill 1’s thanks to a Maling’s equaliser.
The M3 started with a narrow defeat at Colchester 5’s 2v1 with Booth getting the consolation, whilst the M1’s had a tough opening fixture against Harleston eventually succumbing 9v0.
