Ladies 3’s Lose Out to Peterborough

Ladies 3s travelled in the wind & rain to a surprisingly sunny Peterborough this Saturday afternoon, with a team of 10 & no goalkeeper to play City of Peterborough 5s.

The excellent grit and determination of our 10 ladies resulted in a 4-2 loss but a great game nonetheless. We ran a hard & fast defensive back & line allowing our attackers to roar down the pitch with goals from Zoe & Sophie in the second half.

We played a very wide & open game, using both sides of the pitch up front, & excelled in supporting each other with positioning, did some great marking and stepped out in front of the opposition to meet the ball, winning the possession more times than not. The score line does not reflect the play & does reflect a lack of goalie, so if you know anyone…!

Again, big well done to Newmarket L3 on another great game!
